THAT ROWE SHOW WISHLIST

That Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight at some point in 2010, I don’t care how or where or what has to happen. Get it done. PERIOD

Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley and Paul Williams end up fighting each other in any order. All 4 are in the Top 10 Pound for Pound fighters in the world and what better way to find out who the best fighter in the world is then to have these 4 guys fight each other?

That the latest rumor seen here: http://www.mlive.com/mayweather/index.ssf/2010/01/floyd_mayweathers_plan_b_shane.html

is true. LET’S HOPE SO KIDS!!!!!

That Roy Jones-Bernard Hopkins II lives up to the hype. That they put on a legacy defining fight for the ages and it isn’t a dud or sleeper because we all know it could.

That if Roy Jones gets beaten badly or knocked out by Hopkins he retires and stays gone for his good and for his legacy.

That James Toney and Antonio Tarver end up fighting. Can you imagine the trash talking and pre-fight build up that will come along if this baby gets signed, what could be better? Well maybe if they had Ricardo Mayorga mediate.

That the Klitshcko brothers end up fighting somebody worth a shit. These fights with the Kevin Johnson’s and Ray Austin’s are KILLING boxing’s biggest division. Maybe a Wald-Viatli showdown? Hmmm we can only hope.

That the Heavyweight Division gets some fighters worth a shit for the Klitshcko’s to fight.

That regardless of how his fight with Frans Botha goes, Evander Holyfield finally hangs up his gloves. He is a legend; we don’t want to see him meet his Larry Holmes like Ali had too.

A Ricky Hatton- Juan Manuel Marquez fight takes place. That would be a war well worth 50 bucks.

That Timothy Bradley and Edwin Valero build on what they did in 2009 and if they do that they get shots at boxing’s biggest names.

That Juan Manuel Lopez and Yuriorkis Gamboa end up having a showdown. There might not be a more exciting bloody war then if these two square off.

That Kelly Pavlik bounces back (and I don’t mean from injury) bounces back in the manner that he actually fights somebody any of us have heard of the way he was before Hopkins ruined his day.

That we see Winky Wright and Zab Judah return to form. Both have had a rough go the past year or two and boxing is better when both guys are fighting big fights. I love me some Super Judah and whether he is knocking someone out or getting knocked out the sport needs his character and drama. He is a one of a kind cat.

That Allan Green gets in the Super Six tournament for he should have been included in the first place.

That the winner of the super six fights Lucian Bute to see who the best 168 pounder in the world is.

That Vilora-Calderon ends up being a truly great fight, one that could propel the little guys up the ladder a few steps.

That we make some head way towards a Nationally regulated Boxing commission and take further steps to updating the drug testing regulations that almost all other professional sports have. It will cut down on the deaths which is a very personal thing for me. It needs to stop.

That Emanuel Augustus finally gets a real shot at a world title. Everyone in the world knows he is the best fighter with a shitty re4cord to probably ever lace up a glove. It’s long over due and he deserves it, I don’t care how or who has to get it done it needs to happen. There is a reason Floyd Mayweather said that was his toughest fight.

That the different title organizations work on getting a better standard for what you have to do to be a judge and that less of these robberies we are so accustom to seeing stop.

That Miguel Cotto fights his heart out if this is his last year as a professional, he deserves it and has handled his business with class esp. when you could argue his only 2 loses come with an asterisk.

That Mike Tyson stays retired. No more internet rumors.

That Chad Dawson gets the chance to fight in a career defining fight so that he doesn’t become another guy that had great skills but fought in a weak era or watered down division.

That the Family of Arturo Gatti finds peace. Other then Chico Corrales, I miss no one more. You could almost feel Arturo Gatti’s heart and pain while he fought and I don’t know if I have ever felt that before or ever will again. RIP champ.

That Julio Caesar Chavez Jr actually starts fighting guys instead of padding his record like someone else we know. Sure he looks good at times but fighting guys from Omaha that haven’t trained in 3 years because they have been driving a tractor doesn’t prove anything. Mexico is a proud country and you are the son of their legend. Better start acting like it

That David Haye quits talking the talk and running away.

That Daniel Jacobs keeps doing what he did this past year and if he does he is well on his way to being one of the next big things in the sport.

That Antonio Margarito admits to knowing he cheat and if he does that he has to do much more then apologize to get his license back.

That Floyd Mayweather doesn’t fight a C or B level fighter in his next fight when saying he is all that matters in the sport.

That Oscar De La Hoya stays retired.

That Sergio Martinez gets a well deserved rematch with Paul Williams.

That Cory Spinks either get in shape for a fight or retire. It’s a disgrace that he still holds a title belt while fighting nobodies and having to run and hold on the last 4 rounds of a fight.

That Nate Campbell gets another shot at Timothy Bradley because I was looking forward to that fight and was pissed at the way it ended.

That the Super Six tournament gets some real judges and referees over seas. You didn’t see the crap being pulled or gotten away with when we had the fights here on US soil did you?

That I might get the chance to see Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera fight again whether it’s against each other or different opponents. I miss the days of “El Terrible” and the “Baby Faced Assassin”.

And finally that we get some unification bouts in all divisions it doesn’t help the appeal of our sport to outsiders when we have 9 champions in each division. Whoever or however that needs to happen lets get it going. It’s long over due.
