Three champions want to go up the ring against Manny Pacquiao, work up a dynamite fight and boost their selling power, it was learned Wednesday.
A fourth champion, although reluctant to face Pacquiao, may yet end up as the Filipino titan?s opponent.
And it will all depend on Home Box Office (HBO), which pitted Pacquiao against World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico in a bout many argue is the fight of the year.
Marquez, if he will have his way, however, would rather take it slow and avoid another explosive tiff with Pacquiao. Three knockdowns in the first round on May 8 in Las Vegas will do that.
But prepared to risk pride and title are Mexico?s Oscar Larios, Korea?s Injin Chi and Scotland?s Scott Harrison.
