Regarding Mayweather vs Pacquiao. It makes no difference IF Pac is on steroids or not, Mayweather will beat him either way he wants to do it. So if I was May I would take the fight as proposed by Arum and go get that paper. Easy work for 40M USD in one night. C’mon brother somebody talk to my man. This is some funny stuff. Antonio Tarver saying he is no Roy Jones is too funny. He sure isn’t… he is no all-time great. He is a good fighter who had a 2 year good run. I love reading boxing interviews because boxers have the worst opinion of themselves because its rarely based in reality. Lol! Whether its Floyd saying he’s the greatest of all time, or Roy saying he could have beaten Tarver but didn’t want his dad to get the credit, or Zab Judah saying how he’d beat Manny.. These guys just talk so much. But I love them all the same as fighters.
Bread’s Response: I agree with everything you stated. I’ve read each statement you mentioned and I didn’t agree with them, but I will say I understand where the fighters are coming from. When you make the sacrifices they have, and kicked the ass that they have you kind of look at the world a lil different than us mere mortals. So sometime we look at them like”are you kidding , you can’t possibly think you can beat that guy” , but every so often somebody pulls off a huge upset and shows us why they had that confidence and superior view of themselves in the 1st place.
Breadman, Here is the problem for Manny. Yes, true boxing fans like me and you will see through all of the B.S. from Floyd and his camp. We realize that Floyd has gone out of his way to avoid losable fights over the past 3 or 4 years. That said, the non boxing fan (the masses) wants to see this fight also. Unfortunately, those are the people (the masses) who will always remember that Manny wouldn’t agree to the fight over refusal to take blood test. The whole what’s he got to hide will come up over and over again. So, if these two great fighters never get in the ring together and both continue beating everyone else they fight (Shane Mosley could have some say in that part of it), the common sports fan will remember Manny saying no to the fight not Floyd. Breads Response: I agree somewhat that a percentage of people will view this debacle as Manny’s fault for simply not agreeing to take the blood test. I believe that’s part of his reasoning for sueing, because his legacy will be at least slightly stained if he never takes blood test before a great performance because people will already have that built in excuse that he may be on PED’s. But ironically enough I feel that this thing has backfired on Floyd. Because of the perception that Floyd cherry picks his opponents, many of the fans you are speaking of feel that he is finding a way out of this fight. I personally feel that both parties are at fault but Floyd has to carry the majority of the blame. Floyd asked Manny to do something that he never asked any opponent to do and implied that Manny is on PEDs. Manny basically took it personal and as insult and said fuck you I’m gonna sue you. Now alot of people will say Manny’s response should’ve been fuck you, I will take the blood test and still kick ur ass. So there is the dilemna. The part about this whole mess that seems so crazy to me is that all Manny did was win 4 fights since moving up from 130 in which he was the favorite to win 3. He beat an average tough guy in David Diaz at 135. If Manny would’ve struggled against Diaz then everybody would’ve said he’s slipping. Then he beat a weight drained old Oscar, the only fight that he was the underdog I might add. Then he beat Hatton at 140, another guy he was expected to beat. so what he iced him. When somebody walks straight at proven punchers they get iced ala Foreman v. Frazier. Then Manny beat an excellent fighter at 145 in Cotto. Another guy he was the favorite to beat. A guy who was still very good but had slipped a little and a guy who has taken severe beatings over the last 2 years. I think it’s impressive what Manny is doing but Floyd and his people are going a bit overboard when they imply what he’s doing is so amazing that he has to be on something.
I don’t know what public you are speaking on. Everyone around me…and even reporters on ESPN the largest sports network in the galaxy say Manny should take the test. As bad as people hate Floyd, Manny will be the one remembered for not wanting to take random dope test. Superstitious…tatted up…not with in 30 before the fight…did 20 days before Hatton…suing Floyd…wanting to fight Paulie who called him out worse for being a dope head. Next thing people will be blaming Floyd for 9/11 LLH
Bread’s Response: The public I’m talking about are the loads of comments I have read since this crap began, that in my opinion seem to favor Manny about 60/40. That public would also include the opinion of a lot of fighters. Interestingly enough most of the fighters say they would not take a blood test just because Floyd said so. The only fighter who I saw that stated he would take the blood test was Shane Mosley and Mosley was found to have PED’s in his system in the past. Paulie did blast Manny but the difference between Floyd and Paulie is that Paulie has stated that the testing by the NSAC is sufficient if they fight. If Manny chose to fight Paulie and Paulie requested the same testing Floyd did I would call Manny a hypocrite but it didn’t go down like that

I was a big fan but now I’m pulling for paq even though I feel the fight can go either way. I hope paq beat the brakes off floyd..lol. God has a loss coming to floyd or maybe two losses(shane)…just wait and see. Can you believe he posted a sparring session to TMZ with same big ass dude he’s been using for the last decade trying to show everybody he’s till the man! He has dude just leaning on him throwing no punches which is the same sparring crap from years ago. Floyd might as well showed his real training with his uncle which would’ve been more amazing.
Breads Response: I see your’re passionate about ur stance against Floyd lol. The problem with Floyd is he seems to be so hypocritical that it gives people who may not like him so much fuel. I didn’t see the sparring session on TMZ but if what you say is true, Floyd is again being a hypocrite, because if you have noticed on 24/7 he does not allow footage of him sparring to be used. So again if what you say is true, why would he put it on TMZ. It seems to me that Floyd is on a campaign to be the best fighter ever by speaking about his past accomplishments and credentials, instead of just lining folks up and knocking their heads off. Imagine this if Floyd didn’t retire in 2007, he could’ve lined up Margarito, Mosley, Cotto, Pwill and then Pacquiao. By now in 2010 he would have cleared out an era and beat each guy before too much luster has been knocked off of him. Now, even if he fights Cotto and Margarito they will be looked at as less dangerous than before. But that’s seems to be how Floyd operates, he lets the other guys fight each other while he sits back and lose challenges through attrition.
