Fans Stand Behind Manny Pacquiao After Drug Use Allegations

Manny Pacquiao has filed a defamation suit against Floyd Mayweather and his entourage Wednesday.

The lawsuit claims the Mayweathers, six-weight world champion De la Hoya, and Golden Boy Promotions chief executive Richard Schaefer knew that WBO welterweight champion Pacquaio has never taken performance-enhancing drugs and made their statements out of “ill-will, spite, malice, revenge, and envy”.

Pacquaio’s lawyer Daniel Petrocelli said: “Manny’s achievements come from God-given talent and an indefatigable work ethic – not steroids.

“He cannot and will not allow others to deliberately misrepresent his years of hard work and tarnish his reputation.”

Pacquiao seeks U.S. $75 000 in damages in the lawsuit, which complicates things for the match between the two boxers, originally scheduled March 13th.

Discussions are still taking place between the two camps to save this fight.

Fans Stand Behind Pacquiao

Mpitman says:

My wife works with eating disorder patients in portland and her patients as a standard gain 2 pounds as an average each week from healthy dieting until the meet the proper body mass target weight. The fact that pacquiao has gained weight through out his career in increments of 3-5 pounds between matches is not at all suprising. It is very clear that mayweather camp is arrogant and shows no class by not wanting to acknowledge the accomplishments of pacquiao due to jealousy. It is very clear that the mayweather Sr and camp paint have painted themselves as being either very ignorant or scared.

Filipino 1 says:

Let me set the record straight with Pac taking any type of steroids. And to counter what Paulie Malignaqqi and Mayweather Sr.

Pacquaio’s ring weight has not changed since JMM fight at 130 pounds. All it means is, Pacquaio was draining himself to fight 3 great Mexicans. Where is the weight gain?

Payatot says: January 1, 2010 at 3:55 pm (Edit)

I am 5?5? tall Filipino, was 110 lbs in college because I was on starvation diet like most Filipinos my age. I did not have to try hard to get to my present wt of 145 lbs; I just happen to be making enough money to indulge myself. If I routinely lift weights and increase my food intake, I know I can easily bulk up to 150 lbs without steroids or HGH. Pacquiao’s secret is chicken adobo and conditioning and the genes that drove Colt to design the 45 mm.

leizl says:

Pacman was reportedly eating more than 5,000 calories a day as given by his trainer. Figure that weight gain if you take a thousand calories each day. He’s eating white rice, fried pork and of course conditioning the muscles for toning. Did anybody see how he practice running and defense line back like the football players?

These accusaion by the Mayweathers are all part of jealousy. Now that they are sued, let’s see if they can afford to pay the whole trial. They are the one in need of big money for they are broke not Pacman who is has lots of business and millions.
