It appears as if every turn we make the Mayweather camp adds a new demand that team Pacquiao must comply with in order for the fight to push through. The recent blood testing demands have sent shock waves throughout the boxing world, causing Bob Arum and Team Pacquiao to dig their heels into the sand, and to say “enough is enough.”
Recently Freddie Roach went on the record http://www.8countnews.com, and was furious with the entire Mayweather camp, calling them “cowards” and saying that they were, “scared” to fight Manny. The one question that the Mayweather camp needs to answer is, why not just let Manny give the blood on the day after the fight? If Manny is doing steroids as the Mayweather’s continue to imply, then his blood will be dirty the day after the fight too. It doesn’t make a difference if the blood is drawn on the day before, or the day after. If Manny is taking steroids, they will show up in his blood on the day after the fight as well.
There is absolutely no reason for the Mayweather team to throw away over 25 million dollars because Manny refuses to give blood on the day before the fight. When 8CountNews asked Freddie Roach what giving blood on the day before the fight does to a fighter he said, “It’s just like having sex. Having sex before a fight is a no no because it makes you weak.” Roach went on to say, ” It takes Manny 3 or 4 days to recover fully after giving blood, and there is no way I will have my guy give blood a day before the fight.”
Roach has given a very valid and good reason for refusing to have Manny give blood the day before the fight. This writer has yet to have heard a valid reason from the Mayweather team as to why they won’t agree to have Manny give blood the day after the fight. With this being the case, it makes the Mayweather’s demands seem shady.
