It’s been a busy few months on the boxing beat, particularly at heavyweight.
Vitali Klitschko exacted a measure of family revenge as he captured the WBC heavyweight title by stopping Corrie Sanders, while a few weeks earlier brother Wladimir folded alarmingly after dominating Lamon Brewster, raising further questions about his long-term ring future.
Touted US prospect Dominick Guinn was exposed by Monte Barrett, while British prospect Audley Harrison again showed he is moving in the right direction by doing the ‘championship distance’ for the first time and generally dominating old pro Julius Francis.
