Paulie Malignaggi joined The Boxing Truth Radio last night to discuss his Saturday night re-match with Juan Diaz, but along the way crafty co-host John Chavez dropped in a question regarding pound for pound best Manny Pacquiao and the dirty little rumor of performance enhancing drug use that will not seem to go away.
Let us be clear, there in evidence that Manny Pacquiao has ever used any drugs to make aid him in destroying most of the competition he has faced during the last three years. The flimsy allegations hang on the fact that Pacquiao has grown into a full fledged, hammer handed welterweight, even though he was king of the featherweight scene just a few years back.
Paulie took Chavez’s bait hook, line, and sinker, and must not be left to dry as he went on a diatribe for several minutes accusing Pacquiao of being under the influence.
Since the show, Internet boxing forums have been set ablaze with discussion of Malignaggi’s comments and Pacquiao’s alleged drug use.
Malignaggi is not the first to point his finger at Pacquiao, as Floyd Mayweather Senior has also gone on record and accused Pacquiao of boxing’s greatest sin. [CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO FLOYD MAYWEATHER SENIOR ACCUSE PACQUIAO OF FUNNY BUSINESS]
I say, enough is enough. Until the drug tests come positive, and I highly doubt they ever will, Pacquiao must be admired for the destruction he has brought and excitement he has created within a sport which was on the brink of death in the public eye.
