LAS VEGAS ? As far as oddsmakers are concerned, there is only a 25 percent chance that Juan Manuel Marquez would win Saturday night?s featherweight encounter with Manny Pacquiao by knockout.
According to the sports book display at the MGM Grand, a $1 bet for a Marquez knockout win would result in a return of $4, while a Pacquiao win also by knockout would only give the bettor a return of $2 for a bet of $1.
“That?s a fifty percent chance that Manny would win by kncokout,” said Frank Nazario, the Los Angeles-based nephew of Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario.
The gap also widened on Thursday with Pacquiao being installed a ?170 favorite against the underdog Marquez at +150.
