Reno Oddsmakers let public decide on proper Pacquiao-Mayweather betting line

Several weeks back there were numerous reports about Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao opening up as a slight betting favorite over Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their proposed superfight. Following that “report”, substantial five-figure bets were promptly placed on Mayweather adding to the intrigue of the story.

It seems as these rumblings have been nothing more than rumors as there haven’t been any confirmations as to the validity of that hoopla.

However, this past weekend I just received word from Preston Wada that in Reno, Nevada, the oddsmakers for the sportsbook at the Silver Legacy has listed the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight as -110 for both fighters. This points to the fact that the line-maker for this proposed superfight is extremely tentative in their ability to correctly decipher the outcome and the manner in which money will flow on either the “Manny” side or the “Money” side.

I predict that with this even money line coupled with the fact that the only legal area to place sports bets within the United States is in the state of Nevada, Pacquiao will undoubtedly be the betting favorite by fight time. Nevada is much too close to the west coast which houses a huge group of Pacquiao backers as well as Filipinos that will be wagering their hard-earned money to strike that vaunted 12 for 12 streak that Manny has been gunning for.

The updates will continue as the betting line flows and fluctuates with the degenerates laying down their hard-earned and not-so hard-earned cash.
