LOS ANGELES?Juan Manuel Marquez knows what it is like to fight under the klieg lights of Las Vegas.
The Mexican warrior has fought there 10 times, while his Filipino foe on May 8 ? the electrifying Manny Pacquiao ? has only been there twice, albeit his second trip there in August 2002 was for rest and recreation.
While Marquez is accustomed to the sights and sounds of the city of entertainment, he hasn?t displayed his stuff at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the ultra-modern venue which Pacquiao turned into his playground in June 2001 when the Filipino lefty swept past the crafty South African Lehlo Ledwaba.
Marquez fought his first seven matches in Mexico City, and knowing that he has the tools needed to hit bigtime, he was brought to the US, where he strung up a string of victories.
