The Manny Pacquiao show rolled into Glendale, California today when Pacquiao, promoter Murad Muhammad, trainer Freddie Roach and co-promoter Bob Arum spoke to a garrison of Southern California fight scribes at Max’s of Manila Restaurant.
?I?m ready for anything Marquez has,? vowed Pacquiao. ?No question in my mind. I will win.? It was Pacquiao?s final press stop in Los Angeles before driving in to Las Vegas on Monday night for his May 8 WBA/IBF title showdown with Juan Manuel Marquez.
Pacquiao?s promoter Murad Muhammad of M&M Sports proclaimed that that Pacquiao has become ?bigger then big. He?s bigger than the Philippines. He now represents all of Asia. He has a whole continent on his shoulders when he goes into the ring against Marquez.?
Trainer Freddie Roach stated, ?Manny is trained so well. He?s in better in shape now than he was for the Barrera fight. I really feel good about this fight.
Marquez, who arrives in Las Vegas on Tuesday, is training in Mexico and was not in attendance. Marquez promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank was in attendance and predicted, ?We already have over six thousand sales. The MGM Grand Arena is set up for about 10,000 seats. I?m convinced we?re going to have a sell out.
