When WBA/IBF world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, 42-2 (33), faces consensus world champion Manny Pacquiao(pictured), 38-2-1 (30), at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on May 8 on HBO, the question of who the best featherweight in the world today will be answered. Since the Filipino’s upset win over Marco Antonio Barrera last November there has been much debate over who should be considered the best at 126lbs.
“That’s all talk and conjecture,” Marquez told SecondsOut on Tuesday. “People can talk about it all they want. We are going to get up into the ring on May 8 and we will find out who the best is. I’m certain that is when I am going to show that I am the best.”
