Ring Magazine featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao said yesterday he has already “reached the condition I was in for the fight against Marco Antonio Barrera” and with just under two weeks to go before he battles World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation champion Juan Manuel Marquez in what promises to be a “war,” confidence was rising among Pacquiao’s handlers.
Well known boxing analyst Moy Lainez who leaves for Los Angeles today along with Gerry Garcia, another member of Team Pacquiao and Pacquiao’s wife Jinkee, said Pacquiao had called him by overseas telephone yesterday to inform him about his condition.
Lainez said “if this is true, then you can imagine what kind of shape Manny will be in on fight night.”
