Showdown in the Wild Wild West

The lights are ready and the stage is set for the showdown between the pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas, Nev.

Pacquiao said it is a big honor for him and the people of his country, the Philippines, to fight for another world championship, said Pacquiao.

“This is a big fight because the public likes when the best fighters get into the ring,” said Cotto. “This is what Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler and Wilfredo Ben?tez did for years. They each fought against the best, the way I am doing against Pacquiao.”

Cotto is a dangerous fighter with a wicked left hook. He will be the bigger fighter in the fight, but that doesn’t scare Roach. Pacquiao has fought great fighters like [Erik] Morales, [Juan Manuel] M?rquez and ?scar de la Hoya.
