Internationally known boxing promoter Murad Muhammad intently watched Manny Pacquiao work out at the spanking, new Wild Card Gym of his business manager Rod Nazario yesterday and said ?he doesn?t look like a fighter who is out of shape.?
This follows reports that the Ring Magazine featherweight champion had spent long hours at the pool table instead of in the gym.
Murad was at the gym along with an HBO television crew that is shooting promotional material of Pacquiao for his May 8 title clash with World Boxing Association/International Boxing Federation featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez at the MGM Grand.
After the workout, they went to picturesque Tagaytay City to interview Pacquiao against the backdrop of Taal volcano.
Murad noted that ?people say there is not enough time for Manny to fight this fight? but pointed out that ?this is true for ordinary fighters but for great fighters, four to five weeks is enough.?
Murad said he believes Pacquiao ?is in shape and never got out of shape,? adding that ?when he gets to the US and gets away from his family and friends, he?s going to war.?
