Murad Muhammad, the man who holds the options for Manny Pacquiao?s US fights, did not waste time doing what he set out to do after flying for nearly 24 hours from his home in New Jersey to reach the Philippines.
But he soon realized that even with his stature, he must wait a while before accomplishing his mission, which is to hold talks with Pacquiao to discuss his coming fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, the World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight champion.
Pacquiao was nowhere in sight as Muhammad and the Filipino idol?s business manager Rod Nazario, went out to look for the boxer yesterday.
It was learned that Pacquiao returned to his Bayview Hotel room at 2 a.m. of Wednesday after spending several hours at Malaca?ang with presidential son, Mikey Arroyo.
“Nag-usap sila ni Mikey Arroyo,” said Buboy Fernandez, the fighter?s trainer and his driver while in Manila.
