Arthur Abraham vs. Jermain Taylor Fight Prediction- If ever there is a very live underdog in this tournament, that underdog would be Jermain Taylor. It says here on paper that the beaten down Taylor will get destroyed by the ”King”, heck, the writings were already smeared on the wall when Carl Froch the Cobra came back to suck the life right out of Taylor when they faced off. It was the kind of come back from behind victory that can zap everything out of the loser, just like that. Like I said, it says here on paper that Abraham will stalk and stalk Taylor with lethal heavy blows and stop Taylor once and for all. Abraham along with his Rocky Marciano style of fighting will be favored by many to take it all, all this however is all on paper, No fight is ever ever won on paper. With that being said I am going with the very live underdog Jermain Taylor to win this bout in a back and forth affair. When a fighter like Taylor is backed into a corner and is smart enough to know that the make or break knock at the door is here, it will be then that Taylor must answer the knock at the door and declare loud and proud that he is still here, still fighting, still winning. I may be one of the very few out there going for Taylor, but you know what? I like my chances because Bad Intentions Taylor can make this fight for him very easy by sticking to that Golden jab of his. One has got to fight Abraham from long distance in order to have a chance, if Abraham gets in close, he will smother you. I understand that Taylor’s insecurities arise in the later rounds, but if Taylor can get to that body early and often, that will then open Abraham upstairs and will then provide a target for that jab right in Abrahams mug. It must also be noted that Taylor has faced a similiar high guard style of defense before in Winky Wright, The only reason why Winky survived was because of his clever boxing skill in landing counters. Abraham is not the counter puncher that Winky is. My only problem with what I just stated is that the Winky clash was B.P., Before Pavlik. It is clear to see that Taylor hasn’t been the same since Pavlik blasted him. Well this is why Taylor is in this tournament, to show himself and the world that Bad Intentions is about to resurface. I’m sticking with the underdog Taylor to win this clash.
Carl Froch vs. Andre Dirrell Fight Prediction- Speed versus Pressure, Agility versus Ability. Youth versus Experience, There are many different ways of placing a spin to this one. The Dirrell fans will say speed alone will decide the outcome. The Froch supporters will say that immense pressure alone will overwhelm the youngster. The Froch followers will also note that Taylor’s speed was supposed to beat Froch when they fought and we all saw where speed got Taylor there. The difference with that and it’s a big difference, is that one can not compare the speed of Taylor to the speed of Dirrell. Dirrell has crazy, insane speed that will swat the snot out of a fly. The biggest difference is the fast footwork of Dirrell, Froch was able to get to Taylor because Taylor didn’t move and circle out fast enough. Dirrell on the other hand does not have that problem. For this prediction, I will keep it short and sweet for you. It’s hard as hell to apply pressure to someone who won’t be there by the time you get there. Look for Dirrell to pull the huge upset over Froch.
