In an exclusive interview with FightFanNation.com’s Brent Matteo Alderson, Jack Mosley, Shane’s father and trainer was highly critical of both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao and commented, “Shane called him [Floyd] out to his face. Floyd has never called Shane out to his face. Shane is not scared to fight anybody and he’s proven that over and over again. I don’t think Floyd or Pacquiao will ever fight Shane because they think Shane is too big, too strong, and just as fast. And they will not fight him and jeopardize their careers like that.” Jack Mosley, who has trained his son through out most of his career commemorated Shane’s willingness to compete against the best, “Shane took chances when he fought Winky Wright, Vernon Forrest, Miguel Cotto. He didn’t have to fight those guys but he took the chance to prove that he was the best. And he will still do the same thing with some of these other fighters and that shows you what type of champion he is and that’s what it will read in history that Shane is one of the best pound for pound in the world ever because he will take a chance and fight you and on any given night he will beat you!” Towards the end of the interview, Jack Mosley voiced his frustrations about his son’s inability to land a big fight with either Mayweather or Pacquiao and thinks Sugar Shane should start an all out media blitz in order to force a fight with one of them, “When he beat Margarito everybody got scared. They were like what happened because he looked like he was 19 years old again. They all got scare and Shane can’t help that. But what Shane needs to do is what all these other fighters are doing and voice his opinion because a mouth that stays closed never gets fed. He needs to go out there and put the pressure on and use his mouth to speak his mind about why they don’t want to fight him. Just Keep pushing and pushing. Do the same stuff that Floyd is doing, the same stuff that Ali did, do all that stuff and get some fights and make the public aware. He has enough money to where he can do P.R. work and get that stuff out there.”

If anybody can go through this tournament without a loss, they will be an international superstar that will be able to command a minimum of three million dollars per fight.
