PLAYTIME is over for Manny Pacquiao and it?s back to the salt mines for him.
Business manager Rod Nazario, appearing at the Philippine Sportswriters Association forum, announced on Tuesday that he has ordered the Filipino fighter to pack his bags and leave for the United States next week to start training with famed trainer Freddie Roach.
Nazario said Pacquiao must fly back to the US pronto because he received an overseas call from the executives of American cable network Home Box Office (HBO), with whom the Filipino pug recently signed a multimillion dollar deal, on Monday informing him that Manny?s fight was reset from May 22 to May 8.
?HBO told me yesterday that Manny?s fight has been moved to May 8, although I still don?t know who our boy?s opponent will be,? said Nazario, who guested in the same forum with The Ring Magazine editor-in-chief Nigel Collins.
