Neither Mike Tyson nor Evander Holyfield will ever seem to fade away. The two boxings icons from the last great heavyweight era will be back together again tomorrow (Friday ) live on the set of the Oprah Winfrey Show according to the Associated Press.
I’m sure the two have already held their awkward first meeting sometime in the almost 13 years since Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield’s ear in their second fight.
This isn’t exactly a reunion on the level of entertainers Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
I’m guessing then that the sympathy vote here goes to billionaire Oprah Winfrey. What’s next? A Happy Days reunion?
I always thought Tyson was headed for public assistance or possibly something more tragic. But it seems Holyfield is the one with one foot on the courthouse steps and one foot on a banana peel after each grossed hundreds of millions of dollars in their boxing careers.
