Pacquiao and Batista are united in more than just friendship; they are also united in common accusations and rumors of taking steroids and HGH.
Batista’s been accused of taking steroids for the last several years while Pacquiao’s accusations have just risen to a fever pitch. Floyd Mayweather Sr, on his own volition, decided to accuse Pacquiao of “cheating”. Could this be due to the fact that Floyd Jr is ducking Pacquiao? Could this be due to the fact that Pacquiao destroyed Ricky Hatton?
OR could this be due to the fact that Mayweather Jr’s fight is so desperate for PPV buys that they will try and frustrate anyone to get them to watch the fight and root for him to lose?
Pacquiao has come out and denied these accusations and might possibly file lawsuits against Mayweather Sr. Now that’s some counter punching to maintain your innocence and fight off the “wild” claims of a senile old man.
Unfortunately, Batista’s history of accusations isn’t so easily defendable. I’ve personally met Batista several times including doing an independent wrestling show back in the day with him. He’s been nothing but professional and respectable whenever I see him. However, he is one of the biggest men I’ve ever seen.
His size alone doesn’t convict him of steroids abuse but that doesn’t stop the rumors. We live in a society where anyone who is in good shape is accused of taking illegal substances. I have been a personal trainer for over 8 years and I get accused of this several times a week. But with Batista there’s more meat to the accusations.
There have been quiet whispers of failed drug tests for Batista in the WWE. There have been anonymous reports of Batista’s name being tied to several HGH investigations. There was recently a huge investigation in the Middle East of an underground steroids drug trade that had Batista’s name attached to it. In all fairness, this was the manufacturer’s falsely advertising Batista’s involvement. But even when he’s not involved, somehow Batista is involved.
There’s a cloud of negativity for this subject that seems to follow Batista wherever he goes. Just the last Tuesday, at a tv tapings for SmackDown, Batista was doing an interview exchange with Chris Jericho and the crowd kept chanting “steroids” at Batista.
