Mayweather Firing Balco Bullets at Mosley

Sep 15, 2009 – It’s hard to admit this but Floyd Mayweather Jr. is 100 percent correct in his assessment of the double-standard that abounds between himself and Shane Mosley.

It has been documented that Shane Mosley did indeed utilize several of the various forms of BALCO performance-enhancing substances over the course of his career. It was more than physically evident when he entered the ring against Oscar De la Hoya in their rematch back in 2003. While Mosley was always considered a monstrous lightweight even in his younger days, the way in which he bulked up to compete at the junior middleweight limit did seem to raise alot of eyebrows.

According to Mosley, he passed on the obviously illegal injections and instead opted for the cream and other externally administered substances in order to get his “juice” on. While “Sugar” maintains his innocence and ignorance of knowingly consuming these illegal substances, the boxing press has mostly turned both cheeks and walked away from the debacle.

Floyd Mayweather recently stated, “If that was me doing steroids, the media would have crucified me. Ah man, they would have thrown me in fireplace with gasoline draws on. It’s okay when someone else does it, but it’s always taken to the extreme when anything happens with me.”

Yes my friends… Floyd is spot on with his assessment.

Hate him or love him, the guy is 100 percent correct with the biased boxing media picking and choosing their spots quite carefully.

Yes… I do understand that Shane Mosley is an affable character who comes off with a genuine sincerity largely missing from boxing. Yes… I do comprehend the fact that Mayweather has ruffled quite a few feathers throughout his career. In fact, what Floyd has done is more akin to grabbing a turkey by it’s neck and swinging it around until it has the appearance of a hairless vulture.

Nevertheless, bias is bias and the fact that the boxing media has favored Mosley so heavily when it comes to this Balco issue in addition to seemingly being perfectly okay with the fact that “Sugar” clinches in excess of a dozen times per round is complete and utter bullshit.

Had Floyd been under the BALCO scrutiny he’d be persecuted to the fullest by every half-smart, dim witted “writer” alive today. Because Shane Mosley is nice he gets a pass?

Unbelievable.
