IF plans do not miscarry, the next fight of the people?s world featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao will be held sometime in May possibly against World Boxing Association and International Boxing Federation titlist Juan Manuel ?Dinamita? Marquez of Mexico.
Boxingtalk.com reported that it has learned that American promoter Murad Muhammad of the New Jersey-based M & M Sports has secured an HBO date for Pacquiao in May. The popular boxing website also disclosed that HBO is also under a heated negotiation to seal the Pacquiao-Marquez deal.
Muhammad, however, was unavailable to comment on this latest development.
Recently, World Boxing Council president Jose Sulaiman announced that Pacquiao will get a mandatory title shot at the winner of the WBC featherweight championship between Michael Brodie and In-Jin Chi in March.
