Manny Pacquiao has been assured of lofty ratings by the three recognized boxing governing bodies in their upcoming monthly rank-ings.
In a separate e-mail communications with The Bulletin, high-ranking officials of both the World Boxing Association (WBA) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF) guaranteed the southpaw Filipino ring gladiator of a noteworthy placing as soon as their next boxing ratings are released.
“Mr. Pacquiao has demonstrated that he has no problem becoming a true featherweight star. Nevertheless we have not yet posted our ratings as of yet, but I do guarantee that Mr. Pacquiao will definitely have a very significant position in our next ratings to be published,” said WBA ratings chairman Jose Oliver Gomez of Panama.
Undefeated Indonesian fighter Chris John currently rules as the regular WBA featherweight champion after Mexican Juan Manuel Marquez was recently upgraded to “super champion” since adding the WBA belt to his then-IBF tiara a few months back.
