Manny Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario said yesterday he had instructed his son Roberto who handles his business affairs in the US to tell trainer Freddie Roach and promoter Murad Muhammad to ?stop talking? so Team Pacquiao could focus on the 25 year old Filipino?s next fight following his November 15 annihilation of legendary featherweight Marco Antonio Barrera.
Nazario who is recovering from an operation to remove a stone in his kidney said the interviews of Roach and Murad that keep coming out on boxing websites are not helpful and ?if they continue, we may have to lose both or either of them and I don?t want to do that. I don?t want it to happen.? Nazario said his son had spoken to both Murad and Roach and then reported back to him on their conversations.
Nazario told Manila Standard that Murad indicated he had no problem while Roach said he didn?t know how some of the stories were getting out. Both men apparently agreed to stay quiet.
