FREDDIE ROACH is said to be on his way back to Team Pacquiao. This was revealed yesterday by Manny Pacquiao?s business manager Rod Nazario, who told the Bulletin that his US-based son, Roberto Nazario, recently spoke with the revered cornerman on the phone.
?I am not sure who called who, but Boying (Roberto) told me that Freddie was apologetic,? said Nazario.
Just before 2003 came to a close, Roach told a boxing website that he had decided to call it quits because he could not endure seeing promoter Murad Muhammad play a part in Pacquiao?s affairs.
Nazario also dismissed a report (not in this paper) that New York-based Lenny de Jesus is the leading candidate to replace Roach. The report was taken from the boxing website boxingladiators.com.
