Manny Pacquiao may have been trained to absorb the most lethal punches inside the ring. But nothing could have prepared him or Team Pacquiao from the flurry of reports that have rocked the champion?s boat during the holidays.
For Rod Nazario, however, the reports that have come out — regarding the bolting of Pacquiao?s trainer or even supposedly failed talks about upcoming scheduled bouts — are all unfounded. And thus there is no cause for alarm.
?None among what you?ve read about [what is happening within the camp of] Manny is true,? stated Nazario, Pacquiao?s long-time business manager, who was referring to one of the reports claiming that trainer Freddie Roach has severed ties with the Filipino champion.
?I don?t know what?s going through their heads but this is all I can say, ?Anybody who has been saying anything against Manny just wants to break up this group,?? said Nazario in a phone interview from Pacquiao?s mother stable at the L&M Gym in downtown Manila, adding that no inroads to any deals for any fights have also been taken.
