MANNY PACQUIAO is flying in today from General Santos City to kick off a hectic itinerary that includes a meeting with business manager Rod Nazario on the crisis involving the decision of trainer Freddie Roach to leave the camp of the featherweight star.
Pacquiao starts the day by attending the postChristmas Party for active and retired boxers and trainers at the L&M Gym in Sampaloc at lunchtime. Then for the next three days, Pacquiao will be shooting television commercials and on January 9, he will grace the annual awards night of the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) at the Manila Pavillon with President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as invited guest.
Joining Pacquiao to the PSA bash are Nazario and close pals Lito Mondejar, Ramon Lainez and Gerry Garcia.
At the height of the New Year celebrations, Roach declared that he is bolting out of Pacquiao?s camp because he could not stomach the dishonesty of US promoter Murad Muhammad, who continues to play a role inside the boxer?s camp.
