Despite intense pressure being put on him by trainer Freddie Roach and his lawyer-partners to break away from his contract with Murad Muhammad, International Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao said yesterday he will honor his contract with Murad.
?I want to finish my contract with Murad, which ends in one year? before entering into any other agreement because ?if I don?t respect a contract I signed, then nobody will respect a contract they sign with me.?
In a long distance telephone conversation with Viva Sports from his home in General Santos City, Pacquiao reiterated his desire to fight World Boxing Association/IBF featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez saying: ?I want that fight because I know I can beat him.?
