MANNY Pacquiao, the current toast of Philippine sports, is a tax evader in the US, according to an Inquirer source.
The reigning International Boxing Federation (IBF) superbantam champion, who recently pulled off a titanic win over Mexican featherweight great Marco Antonio Barrera, owes the Internal Revenue Service some 350,000 dollars in taxes from four previous fights in the United States.
An Inquirer source said the amount does not include the taxes from Pacquiao’s 11th round technical knockout win over Barrera, in which the Filipino was allocated a 700,000-dollar purse by pay-per-view giant cable network HBO.
