TAKING a cue from fellow world boxing champion Oscar “The Golden Boy” de la Hoya, the new world people’s featherweight king Manny Pacquiao will also join the boxing promotions arena soon.
Pacquiao told reporters he is planning to invest on aspiring local boxers here by putting up his own boxing promotions outfit in partnership with some boxing handlers and businessmen in the city.
“I’ve been discussing with Manong Rey Golingan to help me become a promoter of local professional and amateur boxers,” Pacquiao, who hails from this city, said in the vernacular.
