GENERAL SANTOS CITY — – Manny Pacquiao the IBF Super bantamweight champion and “people’s featherweight champion” is planning to put up a boxing promotions outfit to provide opportunities for more boxing talents to fulfill their dreams in professional boxing. The 24-year old Pacquiao said he is considering going into a partnership with local businessmen and boxing aficionados to realize the plans.
“I’ve been discussing with Manong Rey Golingan to help me promote local professional and amateur boxers,” Pacquiao, who hails from this city, said in the vernacular.
Golingan, a local hotelier, is a prominent boxing aficionado and had supported several local boxers in the past, including the then rising Pacquiao.
