Pinch hitters swarm to replace mentally wounded Mayweather

Siwling rumors have Golden Boy fighting to keep July 18 PPV fight date in place and perhaps looking for viable substitute opponent for Juan Manuel Marquez after Floyd Mayweather hurt his soft ribs and softer ego.

Mayweather’s ribs were fine until Manny Pacquiao got to New York and was absolutely showered with love, first by Boxing Writers Association of America and then by 17,000 plus Puerto Rican fight fans packed into Madison Square Garden.

Here are some suggested opponents who might wish to battle Juan Ma:

1.. Dr. Hayden Kho: He?s kind of buff or usually in the buff and his video studies are second to none.

2. Geoff Eingemann: If he were to fight Mayweather, we could call it ?Hunk Versus Punk.? The Pinoy leading man type can pretend to be a fighter and I see he has been talking about having an amateur bout. Get paid, Geoff, it?s more rewarding. And, while you?re at it, start spelling ?Jeff? correctly. Spelling it “Geoff” is simply pretentious and annoying, like spelling “Joe” as “Jhooe” or something equally stupid.

4. Chavit Singson: Bet on it.

5. Ricky Hatton: He can make his adios to boxing by taking a whipping from Juan Ma. “Farewell Flatton” reads the banner.

6. Nanay Dionesia: Pacmom would glide around the ring. Her dance steps would totally flummox the easily confusiado Senor Marquez. Her ballerina moves too much for the Mexicano

.7. Hermie Rivera: Extreme vodka intake from Pacquiao in New York weekend trip makes him harmless foe for JMM. The political and boxing operative and journalist outdrank pugnacious promoter Lou DiBella in shot for shot tequila battle at the bar at Affinia Hotel across from Madison Square Garden. Amazed doctors refer to Rivera as ?a medical marvel? who may donate his liver to the Smithsonian. They also want to study Hermie’s “hollow leg.”

8. James Kirkland: Oh, I forget gunsel is still locked up in Texas but hear his “cellie,” Top Bunk Bubba, may get out this week.

9. Rodel Mayol: Let Marquez fight a Li?l Guy just like Mayweather was going to fight one in Marquez.

10. Michael Marley: I?d love but to but it would take amputation of one leg for me to make anything below 150 pounds. OK, below 210 pounds. I am negotiationg a pro bout against Clyde Weaver, recent doughnuts dipped in hot gravy foe of Monk Foreman. My agent Ron Weathers will only take 97 percent of my purse.
