HE SWEARS he’s not a politician and certainly not interested in the May elections, but the world’s new “people’s featherweight” boxing champion Manny Pacquiao declared he is plunging into the campaign trail.
“I will start a campaign to unify the Filipino people,” the 24-year-old Pacquiao said at a recent press conference at the City Hall.
Pacquiao said that amid the present political and economic difficulties in the country, he would like to see Filipinos to be happy and ultimately understanding of each other.
“Let’s show to the world that we are united and we love each other,” he said.
