Albert, why is it that you are not wanting to give Marquez a chance against Floyd? It seems that you are forgetting that Marquez is one of the top 5 best fighters in the world. You are also forgeting that Marquez just knocked out Juan Diaz. Why are you respecting Floyd so much all of a sudden? Marquez will outbox Floyd by outsmarting him and cruise to a Unanimous Decision. Edwin, let me start off by saying that I believe that Marquez is one hell of a fighter, a total bad ass, a great counter puncher, and one of the brightest in the game. As I mentioned before, skills wins fights but sometimes the weight will dictate. If this fight were taking place at 143 or even maybe 144, I would maybe favor Marquez, maybe. The fact that the fight is taking place at 147, I strongly feel that at 147 is a real bad move by the Marquez team to have agreed to. Why would you agree to allow your fighter to jump up to 147, your fighter who by the way last fought at 135 to fight a bigger man that retired at 147? It really puzzles me. Edwin, you are right that Marquez just knocked out Diaz, but correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Diaz bullying Marquez for the first 4-5 rounds in that fight? Oh and wasn’t that at lightweight, that Juan Diaz was able to accomplish this bulldozing act? I feel that come fight night Floyd will weigh anywhere between 152-156 pounds, while the smaller Marquez will come in around 145-147, Floyd may very well out weigh Marquez by 9 pounds or so come fight night. If the smaller Diaz was able to push Marquez around, what do you think the bigger Mayweather will do? By the way Edwin, I would love for Marquez to stun the world and beat Money May so that he can piss all over Floyd’s bank robbing plan of his, but I honestly don’t see it happening.
It seems that every Boxing site out there is murdering Mayweather for not fighting a real welterweight like Shane Mosley, why are you guys not doing the same as the rest. I think that if we all do it that we will eventually pin Mayweathers back against the wall and he will grow tired of hearing it and fight Mosley next. Truth be told, everyone has an opinion, my opinion is that if you call yourself the deadliest storm, you best come at us with the speed of an avalanche and the force of a hurricane and not with a light breeze. Don’t get me wrong, Marquez is a bad man, but he is a bad man at lightweight, not at welterweight. It doesn’t also help Floyd that he is forcing Marquez to make the welterweight limit, come on now, I am sure that the gym rat Floyd who has great work ethic can easily make 143-145 at the very least, but if there is an ounce of risk in it, then guess what? Floyd aint touching it. I see where you are going with the whole back Floyd into a wall, since I too believe that it’s not untill a man’s back is against the wall that we truly then see what he is made of. The thing is that the media and boxing fans can push and push Floyd into a wall until he trips and falls, but reality is that Floyd would trip and fall on a pile of money. To me it seems that money and fame are the things that move Floyd, it’s clear that to Floyd money and fame outweighs respect and legacy. Reality, however is a bitch and as we all know she bites, one dark cloudy day however, Floyd will realize that money can buy you lots of lavish things, but the one thing that money can not buy is respect. A fans respect can not be bought, it can only be earned. My point is that, Floyd could care less if he has mine or yours respect, as long as his record remains unblemished, nothing else matters. Speaking of backs against the wall, your Cleveland Cavs are right on that wall, it’s time for them to fight back and see what they are made of.

Rick, word on the street is that Juan Diaz will be fighting sometime in August in Texas. The opponent is yet to be penciled in, I would like for the Baby Bull to face Rolando Reyes. It is a tough fight for both fighters, but knowing Juan, I am sure that after his defeat to Marquez, Juan will be looking to come back against a tough opponent to prove that he is still on point. Juan left me a message last night that he just got back that he was out of the country, so now that he is back I will touch base with Diaz to see what his future plans are.
What is up with Edwin Valero???? I mean come on, this dude is delusional, I heard that he turned down major cash because he is waiting for Pacquiao. I am sure that Valero is not even on Pacquaio’s radar. This guy needs a wake up call, it bugs me out because the man sure can hit and he is one of my favorite fighters. Clayden, I too heard something like that. I too was shocked, I heard that they offered him something like $200,000 for a fight, I am still trying to confirm on who they threw at him for that hefty amount of cash. True Valero can hit, but just because you can hit doesn’t mean that you are a hit. I would love to see Valero test himself against a Joel Casamayor or a Joan Guzman.
