HBO Sports, the unquestioned leader in boxing on television and pay-per-view events has dangled an unbelievable offer ? a $25 million (P1.4 billion) six-fight contract to International Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao.
The giant cable network also indicated its desire to make a deal directly with the champion?s camp, which could effectively sideline American promoter Murad Muhammad.
Pacquiao has told Manila Standard that while he gets ?beaten-up in the ring and has to kill himself in training, others make money? out of him in reference to Murad in particular.
