While the Internet buzz, buzz, buzzes with anticipation about whether the Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather Super Bout will get made (it will) and who will win the gripping confirmation (Manny might), I went off track as per usual and thought of a sideline competition for Manny and Li?l Floyd.
How about karaoke war between Money May and the Pinoy Idol? Maybe we bring in Scottish songbird Susan Boyle as the musical referee?
No doubt that Manny fears no man. He also fears no microphone as this video presentation of his new Filipino Pride Anthem, ?Lahing Pinoy? bears out.
Mayweather has expanded his horizons by dancing on television and participating in some pro wrestling vaudeville.
But, key question here, does PBF have the guts to hit it and not quit with the mic in hand?
This would be a great Floyd-Manny preflight hype event, such a battle of the crooners.
Now even Frank Sinatra and Johnny Cash, as great as they were, need top flight material.
Sinatra needed the songs of, let?s say, Cole Porter and Cash put his touch on great tunes penned by boxing fanatic Kris Kristofferson.
Besides his own, Pinoy themed songs, what could Manny sing?
And what would Mayweather, close pal of rapper Fifty Pesos, put in his repertoire?
