There is a new King in the featherweight division and his name is Manny Pacquiao, as he dominated Marco Antonio Barrera after getting put down by a questionable knock down in the 1st round. Barrera didn’t look to be at the top of his game, but it was more of Pacquiao being the better fighter on this night, sticking to the game plan that trainer Freddie Roach had designed for him, attack, attack, and attack.
The fireworks started early, as both fighters tried to load up with power shots, Pacquiao trying to land a right hook, Barrera landing straight right hands. Barrera’s right was the one that got there first putting Pacquiao down with more of an off balance shot, as Pacquiao would argue that he slipped, but non the less Barrera would get a 10-8 round
