Former Filipino world champions Luisito Espinosa and Rene Barrientos who had both correctly predicted a victory by International Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao over legendary featherweight Marco Antonio Barrera yesterday praised him for his smashing victory, which made them all proud.
Two-time world champion Espinosa told Viva Sports he followed the action with family and friends and noted that Pacquiao ?almost cried? adding ?I felt the same way. I am so proud of him.?
An obviously enthusiastic Espinosa said: ?His performance was awesome. Mabilis at walang pagod, para lang nagsasayaw. Excellent. As I said, basta Pilipino sa larangan ng boxing, kahanga-hanga ang liksi.?
