Metro Manila?s crime rate went down on Sunday as most of the 82 million Filipinos were glued to their television and radio sets watching the winning bout of the boxing champion Manny Pacquiao, the police said.
Reports at the Philippine National Police Headquarters in Camp Crame indicate the incidents of crime that occurred that day dropped significantly compared with statistics culled from previous weekends.
?According to the reports we received, only 24 incidents occurred last Sunday,? Director Ricardo de Leon, officer in charge of the PNP chief of directorate staff, said.
