GENERAL SANTOS CITY?Two separate hero?s welcomes await the homecoming of Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, local official said Monday.
Mayor Pedro Acharon Jr. confirmed to reporters that the city government is conferring with the Pacquiao camp for the finalization of the planned welcome rites.
Acharon said that despite Pacquiao?s decision to change his residential address to Sarangani Province, a hero?s welcome here is still being prepared for his return.
The new Ring Magazine and IBO junior welterweight champion has four houses, two three-story commercial buildings, among a few of his investments here.
But lately he has bought a prime seaside property in Gumasa village, known for its fine white-sand beach in Glan town, Sarangani Province.
