PMS is the soundtrack to my late afternoon drive on the 605 and 105 freeways.
If you have never heard Matt “Money” Smith and Petro Papadakis’ sports radio show, give it a try, as the duo touch upon not only sports, but music, film, and anything else that might be on their minds for the day.
Friday PMS had legendary Lakers’ head coach Phil Jackson on for an interview before Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets in the second round of the NBA play-offs.
Towards the end of the interview, Smith asked Jackson about a big sports Saturday which includes the Kentucky Derby, Game 7 between the Chicago Bulls and defending NBA champs Boston Celtics, and Manny Pacquiao’s bout against Ricky Hatton.
The “Zen Master” had these words to say about Hatton – Pacquiao and the sport of boxing.
“I won’t be watching [Hatton-Pacquiao],” said Coach Jackson. “The sport of boxing is not what is was twenty or twenty-five years ago.
Shame on you Phil, Hatton – Pacquiao has the well deserved buzz of any big time boxing event, now, or three decades ago.
