LAS VEGAS ? Less than three hours after scoring another smashing hit in the ring Saturday night, Manny Pacquiao joined his supporters in the pool area of the Mandalay Bay referred to as The Beach where he belted out his favorite songs to the delight of those in attendance.
Pacquiao sang his trademark ?Para sa iyo ang laban na ?to? then exchanged pleasantries with his friends and fans.
Pacquiao had done the same in past fights as a treat to his fans but this one apparently was doubly sweeter because of his total domination of British boxing star Ricky Hatton whom he destroyed in just two rounds.
No doubt, this win will rank as one of the most memorable in his storied career.
To illustrate his confidence that victory was nearly certain, the boxer had brought in from Manila the MP Band to provide music for post-fight party.
He also mingled freely with the fans, moving from one group to the other, posing for pictures and exchanging small talk. His face was virtually unmarked, reflecting the easy passage he had against Hatton. Unlike in previous matches, such as the one he had during his rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez in March last year when he had to wear dark glasses to cover lumps and bruises.
The party was cut short and by 2 a.m., everything was quiet on the beachfront.
A mass at 9:30 a.m. of Sunday at his suite had been scheduled by members of his team. Shortly after the mass, Pacquiao will motor back to Los Angeles.
