Filipino super bantamweight boxing champion shocked boxing aficionados throughout the world Sunday noon by totally dominating and outclassing fancied featherweight king Marco Antonio Barrera in 10 masterful rounds before his opponent’s corner mercifully threw in the towel with 2:56 left in the 11th round in San Antonio, Texas.
In a fight he was given the slimmest chance to win by odds makers in the United States, Pacquiao showed sustained speed and demonstrated tremendous power against Barrera who was billed as the best featherweight boxer in the world today.
Well, that is, until Sunday.
