This publicity hungry cat named Lee Beard has opened his mouth and revealed himself to be a fistic fool.
Better he had kept it shut and not removed all doubts.
I knew, I knew it, I knew your first reaction would be to say, Lee Who?
Beard proclaims himself to be “the secret weapon” in the Ricky Hatton camp. Better this guy should remain a seceret and unheard.
This assistant to the assistant of the assistant trainer probably fetches a spot of tea upon command for head trainer Floyd Mayweather. Although Hatton camp insiders do reveal that Beard, back in the good old days when he lived in complete anonymity, used to carry the hand pads for Sir Boozalot, meaning now sacked Hatton trainer Billy Graham.
Graham is a light drinker. When it turns light, Graham starts tippling. I don’t know who drank Canda Dry but it might have been Hatton’s ex-trainer. Suffice to say the trainer and the Rev. Billy Graham have never met although ‘m sure the boxing guy would love to see if the televangelist could turn water into beer.
Back to Beard…if we have to.
This Everlast Einstein has come out and said Manny Pacquiao, world’s best pound for pound and most entertaining fighter, is getting whacked out in six frames by his man who really lost to Lefty Luis Collazo and never looked back.
Certainly Beard is entitled to shill for his shillings. But this bloke seems to have a real complex about Pacman and his great trainer, Coach Freddie Roach. I think it’s an inferiority complex like the I one I have about Hemingway.
Hatton couldn’t knock me out at my advanced age especially with my new brown rice and shiraz wine diet. I’m not losing any weight but I’m usually too sloshed to care, lol.
Beard wants to compare Pacman to Paulie Malignaggi and to Edwin Valero, both accomplished if not great fighters who are not on the boxing Mt. Olympus where Manny dwells.
How odious, how infantile are such comparisons?
I’m glad you asked because comparing Pacquiao to Yo Paulie and to Windmill Valero is like comparing…
Rembrandt to some kindergar
ten kid drawing with crayons…
Dick Cheney to Doc Holliday when it comes to marksmanship…
Margaret Thatcher to Pamela Anderson at the kissing booth…
Gordon Brown to the stoic but evocative and inspirational Winston Churchill…
Muhammad Ali to his brother Rahaman Ali in boxing skills…
Writer John Updike to political poison pen scribbler Ann Coulter…
The training skills of Margarito cheater Javier Capetillo to Nacho Beristain or Manny Steward. The latter two win big fights playing by the rules…
The body of Selma Hayek, Mexican sex goddess, to that of the crazed Octomom who just dropped eight kids to go along with her other six for a certifiably insane total of 14 kids…
The classic film “Casablanca” to “The 40 Year Old Virgin”…
The oratory and calm of Barack Obama to the mumbling and fumbling rhetoric of George Bush…
Mexican civil rights crusader (all of a sudden) Bob Arum to the great hero Cesar Chavez…
All time musical icons Joni Mitchell or Bob Dylan to some one hit wonder…
Mozart to Milli Vanilli…
I think we’ve all got the idea now.
Lee Beard has a point, I must admit.
If he wears a hat, it might not show.
Paging Lee, report back to Trainer’s Anonymous immediately.
