The historic Cow Palace in San Francisco, where the late Gabriel “Flash” Elorde fought an epic battle against world featherweight champion Sandy Saddler on Jan.18, 1956, is the likely site for the planned Nov.15 war between International Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao and featherweight king Marco Antonio Barrera.
This was announced by Pacquiao’s business manager Rod Nazario.
He told Manila Standard he had received a call yesterday from his son Boying, who handles his business affairs in the US, informing him that the Cow Palace has emerged as a possible site along with the Alamadome in San Antonio, Texas.
