Freddie Roach, the trainer who turned International Boxing Federation junior featherweight champion Manny Pacquiao into a world-beater and one of the hardest hitting punchers in the lighter weights, said that the Filipino’s planned Nov. 15 fight against featherweight Marco Antonio Barrera, may be too soon.
Roach had told Max Boxing in an interview for Viva Sports that after the fight against undefeated Emmanuel Lucero, who Pacquiao hammered into submission in three rounds, he wanted the flamboyant southpaw “to get Paulie Ayala next even at 126 pounds.”
