Look, I love watching both Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. They are both simply amazing and fun to watch… However I think it is straight up pathetic for there to be an issue over a 50-50 purse for Pacquiao and Hatton. I am personally sick and tired of what looks like money grabbing boxers who are getting WAY OVER paid to begin with. Don’t give me the crap they deserve countless millions because they put their lives on the line. It’s a damn sport, a game, something people do for fun and these guys are making millions, and consistently want millions more.
You know who pays for those millions? Boxing Fans! Face it, Boxing Fans are fed up, pissed off and disgusted at just how much Pay-Per-Views cost. If Boxers didn’t demand so much bloody money to fight…. these PPVs would cost a heck of a lot less.
You know something, a PPV shouldn’t cost more than $20. Anything more than that is killing the sport. You think the sport will grow with $40 to $50 PPVs? Hell no. Its going hard in reverse thanks to outrageous PPV pricing.
So while Hatton and Pacquiao fight over money like a bunch of greedy folks… they should ask themselves how much do they really need to take from the fans’ pockets? How many f*cking Millions do you guys need!?
C’mon guys…sign on the bottom line and be thankful that you’ll both be making millions off this fight. And you’ll both be making way too much money anyway. Its simply outrageous what you’ll be making and what you are asking for.
Stop making us Poor Bastard have to reach so damn deep in our pockets. Stop killing the sport with over priced Pay-Per-Views! Stop bickering over the damn Purse!
