Showtime has landed another enticing fight. Promoters Lou DiBella and Gary Shaw have come to terms with the premium cable network for a Nov. 1 title bout between Mexican ringmaster Cristian Mijares and the rugged Australian puncher, Vic Darchinyan.
Three world title straps will be on the line.
Both super flyweight world champs are southpaws. “Raging Bull” Darchinyan, born in Armenia but fighting out of Asutralia, 30-1-1 with 24 KOs. He currently holds the IBF title at 115 pounds while “El Diamante,” the pride of Mexico, is 36-3-2 with 15 knockouts and holds both the WBC and WBA belts at that weight.
