POUND-for-pound boxing champion Manny ?Pacman? Pacquiao will have to keep himself in training until he finally decides to hang up his gloves. Just like in any sport or competition, expect that someone will come along to challenge the one whose wearing crown, or in Pacman?s case, his belt. As in the case of Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez and Cuban Joel Casamayor, these two boxers will face each other in September not only to win the match, but to get the bigger prize ? a chance to fight with Pacquiao.
Still, whoever wins in the match does not really guarantee a chance to fight Pacquiao. Both Marquez and Casamayor feel that they can beat him when given the chance, but as we all know, one should not assume victory until you have conquered or surrendered.
So who gets Pacquiao? The answer to that question is something that we will have to wait for in September after the Marquez-Casamayor match, or probably in the next months to come. The cycle of competition doesn?t stop ? the one who wins today should always be on top of his game, until such time that he loses to another.
However at this point, Pacquiao is still the king of the ring, and even when the next challenger comes, we?d still be betting on him.
